“Paint and Sip: Portraits” Scheduled at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum
BISMARCK, N.D. – A new art class, “Paint and Sip: Portraits,” is coming to the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, Bismarck, Thursday, Sept. 7, 6-8:30 p.m. The event is in conjunction with the exhibit opening of “There’s a Story There: Art in the State Collections,” which features 19 artworks spanning the 1830s to 2011. In addition to the painting activity, participants will enjoy a private tour of the exhibit.
“Paint and Sip: Portraits” is an event for ages 21 and older. Kim Eslinger, working artist and instructor, will teach participants how to use acrylic paints to create a portrait of Medora de Morès, the town’s namesake. All materials will be provided. The event will include a cash bar, and light appetizers will be served. Tickets are $20 and available to purchase at paint-sip-sept7.eventbrite.com.
