Autumn greetings!

Dear friends,
The seasons are shifting.. and on the heels of a very full few weeks,

we look forward to things slowing down and gardens being put to rest…

work deepening, as we gather in all the harvest from this summer.

We look forward to marking the fall equinox with the Cultivate community, and with you at our fall garden work day (this Saturday!);

To continuing the visioning and strategic planning from the organizers’ retreat
and to the start of the new iteration of the Kosa Community Choir!

What we’ve been up to…

Folk Camp Organizers’ Retreat

Instead of our regular summer camp this year, we met with our core group of organizers for 5 days to discuss the future of Folk Camp Canada.

We worked a lot. We balanced work with play. We had moments to remind ourselves why we gather to weave this camp together.

Many hours of sticky notes and powerpoint presentations, balanced with cooking for each other and singing songs in the evenings!

There is still much work to do to, but now many things have become more clear to us ~ and to the wider community!

We send a deep and heartfelt thank you to all who joined us for the week, and for those who came to our open community forum on Friday evening!

Community Weekend, Feasting and Zabava

Even though we didn’t have our week long camp, it felt important to gather if only for a short time. We gathered at the Plast Camp in Grafton as usual, and enjoyed an evening of feasting, toasting, and folk dancing!

Thank you ALL who came to enjoy this time with us and remind ourselves of our beautiful community.

Thank you to all who volunteered and worked on making this weekend happen! We hope that all who attended are still holding on to the flame of magic that we breathed life into. We hope to share more soon.
