Sept 23     Movie Night 6PM

CAR LINE ETIQUETTE
Please take a moment to review the car line procedures.  We are having some concerns with the safety of students and backed up traffic.

  • Have students prepared and ready to get out before entering the car line.
  • Please allow 8 cars to pull up to the attendant. Then students get out of their car at that time and not before.
  • For safety purposes students are not allowed to be dropped off on Oxnard or Radford and walk onto campus, nor are they allowed to be dropped off in the church parking lot and walk across the street.
  • You may park in the neighborhood and walk your student onto campus to the main gate.
TK-3 GRADE CAR LINE
We kindly request that if you have a child in TK-3 grade, you please refrain from dropping them of until 8:10 a.m.  This will greatly assist in maintaining a smoother traffic flow in the car line for our 4th through 8th grade students who begin at 8 a.m.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated for the safety and convenience of all our students. We are aware this may not be possible if you have a child in 4th-8th grade.

School Committee Parent Representative Role Description

In line with the purpose of the Laurel Hall School Committee, the role of a Parent Representative is to promote an environment wherein students can thrive academically, socially and spiritually. A Parent Representative will be an advisory member, rather than a voting member of the School Committee.  They will provide strong communication, serving as a conduit for their grade-levels to School Committee and Church Council. Specifically, they will represent their selected grade-level families at School Committee meetings. As part of the School Committee, a representative will help to cultivate a constructive, positive, and strong sense of community that best serves all stakeholders and the mission of Laurel Hall School and Laurel Hall Preschool.

Responsibilities of Parent Representatives on School Committee

  • Attend monthly School Committee meetings for a one-year term.
  • Maintain open line of communication with the families represented in your grade levels.
  • Fill out Parent Representative Form before each School Committee Meeting and send to School Committee Chair three days prior to meeting.
  • Discuss matters responsibly and constructively at meeting.
  • Provide advisory input regarding school decisions brought before the full committee.
  • Help foster a strong rapport amongst all stakeholders within the church and schools and encourage a positive and dynamic environment that cultivates student success.
