I have been a trustee for two and half years and having served as deputy- chair, it is a privilege to step into the role of Chair. It is such an exciting time for the Charity as it widens its reach internationally and with an expanded mindfulness training pathway that aims to broaden the applicability of mindfulness-based approaches. As a trustee I hope to bring my 30+ years marketing, advertising and business experience to bear.
Following, the loss of my son, Rory, to suicide in June 2018, meditation, mindfulness and the Mindfulness Network, in particular, have been a wonderful support to me during a very difficult part of my life. They have provided me with hope, and the practical skills to discover a different way of living, and a new way to live. I am keen to repay and assist the organisation, as best I can. I am also a mindfulness teacher and speaker, working with individuals in the community, and in business. My quest is to use mindfulness as a tool to support in the areas of wellbeing, productivity and an overall improved approach to living.
