Puddletown Knitters Guild Newsletter
Thursday, September 14th, 2023
Hybrid Program starts at 7 p.m.
Come join us as we have a Cast-On Party for Sweaters in September instead of our usual presentation. Fellow members will be advising on measurements, gauge, pattern and yarn choice, technique tips and more. We will have snacks and refreshments for the in-person folk, BYO for those online. Bring your yarn and needles, patterns, notebooks and measuring tape for taking your measurements, and headphones or earplugs for the quiet counting corner! Due to the recent increase in COVID cases, we encourage in-person attendees to wear masks.

Virtual attendees will be in a meeting, not a webinar, so will be able to interact with each other. Join us on Zoom at 6:30 p.m. for social knitting.

Bling Your Knits!

This lecture is a deep dive into the multiple ways you can add beads to your knitting.  Laura Nelkin will look at methods for working with pre-strung beads and place beads, and how to decide which method to use.  She’ll discuss choosing beads and yarn, along with how to look at an existing pattern in your library and how to add beads to it.  Are you ready to add a little bling to your knitting?
