This year ISACA will co-host the Annual Audit Conference Tuesday, 11/7/23 through Thursday, 11/9/23 at Embassy Suites in Columbia, SC.


ISACA will offer 20 CPEs with internal audit, fraud, and IT training as well as CIA and CISA exam review courses for as low as $25.00 per CPE hour (See rates below)


Track 1 – Audit Track


Scott Langlinais, CPA, will lead “Detecting Fraud Using Data Analysis” on Tuesday, 11/7/23 and “Detecting Fraud in Payroll and Human Resources” on Wednesday, 11/8/23.  These courses focus on data analytics and newer technologies among other attributes.   Track 1 participants will attend a “General Session” on Thursday, 11/9/23 offering pertinent topics including ethics and fraud (see below).


Track 2 – IT Track


Mark Thomas, CGEIT CRISC CDPSE, COBIT Assessor, will lead “Creating a Tailored Assurance Program in a High Velocity Digital Environment” for the IT track on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11/7/23 through 11/8/23.  Track 2 participants will also attend the “General Session” on Thursday, 11/9/23.


Track 3 – CISA Exam Review Track


K. Bryan Kelley, CISA, CDPSE, CSPO, MCSE, Security+, former Microsoft Data Platform MVP (2009-16), will teach the 'CISA Exam Review Course' Tuesday through Thursday, 11/7/23 - 11/9/23.


Track 4 – CIA Exam Review Track


Garland Granger, CPA, CIA, CFE, came out of retirement for us to teach the 'CIA Exam Review Course' on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11/7/23 and 11/8/23.  Track 4 participants will join in the General Session on Thursday, 11/9/23.


General Session


The “General Session” on Thursday, 11/9/23 will provide 4 CPE hours on 'Ethics: What's Missing?'(1 CPE); 'Detecting Deception in Workplace Investigations' (1 CPE); and “Forensic Statement Analysis' (2 CPEs) taught by Zane Kinney, CFE, PI.

As a quick overview so far of BSidesGreenville 2023...

Heath Adams, the Cyber Mentor and TCM Security founder, will be our keynote speaker kicking us off!


- The event will be held at the 
Fluor Corporation's campus in Greenville, SC. We will have over 500 of our closest friends and BSides family there!


- Have I mentioned that the conference badges can be turned into WiFi analyzers?


- We have an exciting line up of speakers to be announced on Aug. 21st!


- We will be hosting a cocktail hour for women in the cyber security field the night before the conference.


- The after party, sponsored by 
Hook Security Co., will be held that Saturday night immediately following the conference.

Circuit Board Medics team, who designed our incredible badges, will be on hand with their top-of-the-line soldering stations to help everyone build their WiFi analyzers. It takes just a few minutes!


- The 
DEF CON 864 / DC864 team will launch their new CTF Village for attendees to hack away at!


- TEKsystems will be bringing their Resume Workshop and Job Interview clinic back to help boost job search skills!

About this Event 


The 2023 SC CS/STEM Summit is a chance to strengthen and accelerate momentum to expand South Carolina students' access to K-16 computer science education programs.
The K-12 computer science education stakeholders, including state decision makers, business & industry, K-12, local CS education leaders, nonprofit and community-based groups, and funders, will come together at the SC CS/STEM Summit. This group will participate in lectures and discussions about the latest computer science efforts and upcoming requirements for the K-16 youth pathways.
