Parking lot restricted for emergency repairs
The lower ramp entrance of Parking Lot 4 (P4) is temporarily closed to allow for emergency repairs. There will also be a temporary closure of selected parking spaces on upper deck of P4.
Access to the lower deck of P4 will be via the driveway access behind the lower decks of Parking Lot 8 (P8) and P4. Access to the upper deck of P4 remains open via the ramp to P8 upper deck and the vehicle connection route to P4. Pedestrian access to and from the lower deck of P4 will remain open.
Campus Safety will be on hand to safely direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic through the area on an as-needed basis. Read more
Campus to mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Sept. 29
Honour the experiences of residential school survivors by joining a university-wide online event from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Sept. 29 to recognize Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.
The event is hosted by The Office of Indigenous Initiatives at the University of Toronto Mississauga, Student Life First Nations House, Hart House and the University of Toronto. Learn more
Awards available for best mobility solutions
The UTM Mobility Network is calling for applications for Graduate Research Awards. The award is open to all graduate students working under the research supervision of a UTM faculty member.
This funding is provided on a competitive basis, with two to four $5,000 awards provided annually based on academic excellence, research experience and fit with the Mobility Network’s mission to find mobility solutions that serve people’s well-being, the planet’s future and the potential of growing cities to flourish equitably, sustainably and productively. Door knockers needed for residence visits
Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL) invites faculty, staff and librarians to participate in a Door Knocking Initiative to build student engagement and support within residence. UTM community members will visit every unit in residence, with the company of a Residence Student Staff or SHRL professional staff, to engage students in friendly conversation, raise awareness of a supportive community beyond residence and foster engagement between students and members of this greater community.

Blue Ticket prize includes SpinUp membership
U of T Mississauga and international biopharmaceutical company Merck invite early-stage life science entrepreneurs to apply for the first Blue Ticket competition through SpinUp, U of T’s first wet-lab incubator for life science innovation. Applications can be made until Oct. 31.
The Blue Ticket winner will receive a one-year free membership at SpinUp, a $5,000 cash prize and mentorship opportunities with Merck scientists and business leaders. Learn more
