PTO News

Please remember that this is the last weekend to ask your friends and family if they want to support the MSBG PTO fundraiser! They may purchase $25 gift cards for the locally owned Myles’ restaurants and Klotz garden center and/or can order from the Yankee Candle catalog. Our PTO will earn between 20% and 50% of all sales! All orders are due into the front office no later than TUESDAY, MARCH 20th by 3:00pm.

Also, the PTO would like to thank all the parents who have signed up to provide meals to the teachers during conferences! There are still a few spots left, so if you are able and willing, the sign-up sheet is located in the foyer.

Save Money

Kroger Community Rewards
It is never too late, or too early,  to sign up your Kroger Plus card.
To sign up, you simply need to login to your Kroger Plus website account and link the Kroger Community Rewards benefit to MSBG (our number is 80235).  This is open to anyone that wants to register, so feel free to get your family and friends to sign-up too!  You will receive the benefits from their cards as well.  However, in order for us to be able to credit those amounts to you, you must send all the names and Kroger Plus numbers to Alisa.Suelzer@gmail.com  Alisa is also happy to help you with registration information as well.

GL Scrip!
Every week our school places an order for gift cards from all types of retailers including Walmart, Home Depot, Chili’s, Amazon.com, Elder Beerman, and hundreds of other establishments.  Each purchase earns a tuition rebate from anywhere between 2% and 18% of your purchase depending on the store.  Login to www.shopwithscrip.com to check out all that is available.  Send an e-mail to Alisa.Suelzer@gmail.com if you would like to have detailed registration instructions sent to you.  Earning free money has never been easier!

Refrigerator

The staff lounge refrigerator has officially died. If you have a gently-used refrigerator you are willing to donate, please let us know. Thanks!

Chess News

The Montessori School of Bowling Green played at the 2012 Ohio Girls Chess Championships last Saturday near Cleveland.  Thirty-five girls representing 18 schools competed at the event.
Winning 2nd Place among Ohio's Unrated K-5 players was the team of Yeowoon Jung, Isabelle Broman and Hannah Mathey. Despite having only 3 players, Jung, Broman and Mathey combined to score a total 9 points on the day.  A change in rules at the last minute allowed the girls to play together as a single team.  Nevertheless MSBG was outpaced be Hersey Montessori who had 4 players on their team.
Yeowoon Jung was also recognized for finishing in 2nd Place as an individual in the Unrated 3-5 Section with a score of 4 points.

Congratulations to all 3 Montessori chess players!

Today there is a home Chess Match beginning at 4:30pm at MSBG.
