Earlier this week, CB Insights talked with Bloomberg TV's Deirdre Bolton about VC bubbles, the tech IPO pipeline and angel investment trends during their "Money Moves" segment. To watch the segment and see some data on angel investments and tech valuations, go here.  And although our TV stardom has made us kind of a big deal, we're still available to talk if you have questions or needs on financing, M&A or industry data (212-292-3148 or info@cbinsights.com)

The $100M+ Valuation Club and the Tech IPO Pipeline

One of the topics we touched on while on Bloomberg was exits, specifically the tech IPO and M&A pipeline.  We currently have identified 65 tech companies with rumored valuations of over $100M+.  And based on financings and sentiment data, there are over 150 tech companies with valuations over $100M.  We'll be issuing a report on the tech IPO pipeline which will include details on the specific companies as well as trends visible in these companies (top industries, top investors, etc) in the near future.  In the interim, we did a quick analysis of the valuation distribution of the $100 million companies which you can find here.  While there, you can also sign up for a pre-release copy of the tech IPO and valuation report.

We're becoming increasingly good at picking up on rumored valuation figures in various sources and are adding this data to CB Insights regularly now.  Subscribers can logon to CB Insights to see this valuation data.  Don't have an account?  Just sign up here.

We're Hiring a Data Journalist/Data Scientist

If you know someone who loves data and has crazy Excel and storytelling skills and who'd be interested in working at a National Science Foundation-backed data firm and diving into all of our data, we'd love to talk to them.  The data journalist / data scientist job post is here.

Bringing Transparency to Angel Investment Data

The angel data we put out with Silicon Valley Bank and the Angel Resource Institute last week and which kicks off our discussion on Bloomberg can be found here for those that missed it.
