Windsport Dart16 catamaran Spring News Update

 
Welcome to the 2012 Dart16 sailing season – might we all have our own fair share of great winds, warm weather and exciting club and class sailing.
Spring @ Windsport
Spring has already sprung at Windsport with a steady increase of orders for replacement parts from sailors who are preparing their boats for the start of the main sailing season. 
Windsport is continually expanding our stock of Dart16 replacement parts, as seen on our catparts website www.catparts.windsport.co.uk, providing Dart16 replacement parts for older and the latest specification of boats. If you cannot see what you want give us a call and talk to our Dart technical team. Thanks to the Windsport Team, Alex and Matt, our storage and packing areas have gone under some winter refinements with the challenge to improve our picking, packing, paperwork and shipping process for the smallest to the biggest items.
Our Windsport event support trailers have also had their winter service, with modifications and improvements so we can provide the best support possible at catamaran events. Power-packs and increased load carrying means we have the capacity to provide an even more effective mobile workshop, where we can carry out repairs to keep you on the water at supported events.

Dart16 racing in Falmouth Week??
In 2011 a fleet of Dart18 sailors headed to Falmouth, to join in the Falmouth Regatta Week. The week was huge success, boats were parked with Windsport, and racing was just off the beach in the excellent racing area of Falmouth’s inner harbour, Carrick Roads.  In true regatta style racing was over by early afternoon allowing family’s time to do other things. If there is a number of Dart16 sailors keen to join in, contact the Windsport team and we can provide you with additional info. May be it could become an annual Dart16 event/ rally in the future. Windsport Coaching Sessions
The Windsport coaching team are always out and about delivering coaching sessions to catamaran clubs and classes. If you would benefit from some professional coaching along with a host other Dart16 sailors why not contact the class association secretary and register your interest? Windsport catamaran coaching can take place at your home club, a central venue or at the Windsport centre in Cornwall, situated alongside the wide Fal Estuary with access to the open sea. There is no better training location and dare we say no better coaching team! The value of coaching can never be under estimated, whatever your level of skill, channelled coaching is the stepping stones to closing the gap between you and the boats in front. Windsport has camping onsite, B & B close by and for those who want to splash out luxury hotels just down the road. Your visit to Cornwall does not have to be all about Dart16 training, take a day or so either side and enjoy a short break with family or friends. There are plenty of places to explore, famous restaurants, cliff walks, picture galleries; the list goes on and on. For those who want some alternative sailing action, Windsport landyachting is an activity not to be missed.

The Windsport 2012 Dart16 Challenge.
The Windsport challenge 2012 is to keep Dart16 sailors on the water with fast turn-around of replacement parts, technical support and when possible support at Dart16 racing events.
If you are visiting Cornwall in 2012, call in at Windsport and have a chat, we are tucked away at Mylor Harbour but well worth the challenge!!
