2012 Race 4: Pierces Creek / Point Hut Loop 50km
After enjoying some evening racing during January and February the road race program shifts back into Saturday morning races. And what better way to start then with a new course that is sure to offer a lot to the all round rider. With no big hills, no flat straights but rather a whole lot of undulation, the Pierces Creek/Point Hut 50km loop is sure to provide a great morning of racing.
Racing will start at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve Visitor Centre and head toward the Cotter Reserve. Riders will turn before the decent into the Cotter Reserve and proceed back towards Tharwa. Before the decent into Point Hut Crossing riders will turn once again and proceed back to the visitor centre for the completion of one lap. The loop is approximately 50 km.

Fee Increase – Non CCC/VCC members
Last months committee meeting approved the increase of race fees for members of clubs other than CCC or VCC. This decision was based upon a growing number of cyclists who race regularly at CCC events but whose clubs do not contribute to running any regular cycling events in the ACT.
Race fees at all CCC races will be $10.00 for non-CCC and VCC members effective 03 March 2012.
