Getting Out There with Integrity
I have been “hibernating”. I have been spending time “within” both physically and mindfully. Now, I am ready to get out there and connect with others! I am preparing to get back to the re-awakening of the earth and to exploring creatively. To expand and join with others and learn about what they have been experiencing these past few months.
I continue to see how my work and life intertwine. Everything action I take connects to something or someone else. I want to continue to explore this, as it is a wonderful way of creating my life, my daily experiences.
The boundaries are a bit blurred. When am I connecting as a friend and when is it business? They seem to overlap more and more and I want to explore this idea. I want to integrate all that I do each day.
Here is how I am going to get out there with integrity to my personal message.
This year is all about “integration” for me. Here is a list of how I will get connected these next 30 days:
Networking:
I want to connect. I want to look others in the eye and hear their stories. I want to connect with my blogging friends and see where their lives are going. Listen to some stories as the seasons shift again. How to do this? I will attend networking meetings, be fully present in connecting during my work with colleagues, artist dates, lunch/dinner with friends…and my latest adventure, teaching voice lessons!
Blogging:
For years I have focused on blogging about “one simple creative thing” each day. I use my original blog to house those creative explorations. I have noticed that my blog is, well….a bit sparse and in need of some creative rejuvenation! So, I am planning the next 30 days of creativity. Click here to see the posts. I will share my posts each day on Twitter, Facebook and with several blogging friends and groups that focus on creating every day.
Artist Dates:
I will be continuing to go on artist dates. I will use these times to listen in on conversations…hear what is happening around me and “capturing the words” that float by. Is this eaves-dropping ethical? Well…I will pull just parts of conversations…like a word detective! The quotes and “word captures” will be sound bites that will give a snippet of a thought. Thinking my artist dates will take me to coffee shops, shopping centers, parks…places where people gather for conversation.
In order for this to happen, I need to create a schedule that works within my day. Here is what it will look like:
-
Plan artist dates, networking, lunches any connection that takes me out of my working hours and set it into my planner.
-
Write “word captures” into my journal each AM
-
Type word captures into my computer
-
Create a visual back ground, add words to it in a text box
-
Upload “word captures” each day onto my blog
-
Tweet it, Facebook it, connect with 5 blogging friends
I am looking forward to “connecting and integrating”! OK…time for me to get out there!
How do you integrate creative ideas into your day?
