Phew! 2012 is well and truly underway…

Did we say we were hoping to ease into new year!? Just as well - we love being busy!

 
We have been working on some really exciting Unilever and Bacardi projects to name a few, BUT the big news for us is…



In case you hadn’t noticed, we were nominated as a finalist in ‘Adnews Emerging Agency of the Year’. Unfortunately we didn’t get the silverware, but that didn’t stop us having a great night with the who’s who of the Marketing and Advertising industry!
 
We were SO excited to be a finalist after only 2½ years and there is always next year!!



Here’s a quick snap shot of some of the projects we’ve been working on this year…


Unilever: Impulse Love Story



The biggest ‘Love Story’ this year is the re-launch of the Impulse range by Unilever.
 
31ST:SECOND developed in and out of store activity to support the launch – including ‘geek chic’ sampling staff cruising the streets in a branded Mini throughout NSW, VIC and QLD taking photos and posting them on the Impulse Love Story Facebook page.
 
Sampling was conducted at beaches, cinema, transit and shopping malls which was launched with interactive digital billboards in Westfields where consumers could upload personalised ‘Love Notes’.


 
An exclusive offer was also developed in Priceline stores nationally where consumers purchasing 2 products receive a FREE movie ticket.

Unilever: Surf
WIN an iPad2 a Day




Unilever approached us to implement a ‘WIN an iPad2 a Day’ Surf with Essential Oils promotion, needing an on-pack sticker and Facebook page to advertise the promotion, We also managed the microsite where consumers could enter to win an iPad2 a day for 21 days.
 
This was the perfect prize in the lead up to Christmas to give as a gift… or keep for yourself!


Bacardi: Eristoff POS Suite



Eristoff the land of the wolf.

Love Vodka and Cola? Then try Eristoff Vodka’s NEW RTD cans – Eristoff & Cola and Eristoff & Lemon.
 
As part of the launch 31ST:SECOND developed a brilliant POS suite to advertise the new variant, along with land of the wolf related premiums to give away on-premise.

The premiums consisted of Eristoff branded wolf claw tattoos and glow in the dark swizzle sticks, along with branded t-shirts for the on-premise staff to wear. There was also a FREE can giveaway with the purchase of a 700mL bottle of Eristoff to coincide with the launch.


The Mill Apartment Launch



As part of the Cavanstone development in Eastwood, AVJennings have launched the Mill Apartments – an exclusive architecturally designed apartment complex.

31ST:SECOND developed all marketing collateral and signage as part of the launch campaign, which included interactive touch screens for the new look sales office – a first for the AVJennings.


Taubmans: Win a Ute



Blokes love Utes.   
 
They're great for loading with sports gear, helping mates move, towing your jet ski and picking up chicks (allegedly).
 
They're also great for Taubman's Trade Painters who love them for carrying their ladders, brushes & tins of Taubman's Endure.
 
That’s why we developed this Trade Painter sweepstake activation - to engage & motivate Trade Painters to purchase Taubmans Premium Paint brands versus economy and competitor brands.
 
We also developed a unique entry mechanic, whereby all entries are automatically calculated based on sales - important as Trade Painters aren't great at completing entry forms!
 
The promotion closes at end of April and we are expecting sales & entries to really motor along!

A. New Years 2011 on Copacobana beach Rio – huge night!

Q. Who has been the biggest influence on your life? What lessons did they teach you?
A.  My mum – she’s always told me to follow my gut feel and it’s never led me astray... so far.

Q. One person you would like to take for dinner and why?
A. Matt Damon, he’s a spunk & I reckon he’d be a little funny too

Q. What is your earliest memory?
A. Finger painting, i was fantastic
at it!

Q. Your biggest vice?
A. Wine


We’re Moving…



We have outgrown our little office in Danks Street which is a little sad, but we are going bigger and better… and it’s only 2 doors down! We’ll send address details soon.

Overseas Travel!



Rach and Vaughan enjoyed overseas trips over the Xmas / January period. Parker and Vaughan sported matching puffer jackets during the  cold UK winter.



While Rach and Andrew slotted right in like locals in Abu Dhabi!

Shell is here to stay!



Shelley, our lovely UK born number 1 Account Manager, was faced with the prospect of moving home, so there were (happy) tears all round when her sponsorship came through with literally days to spare. You’re stuck with us now Shell!

Chinese New
Year Meatup




We had a great night out at Bar H as part of Urban Food Market's Meatup dinners - held bimonthly throughout the year. We stuffed ourselves silly on a good ol' pork bun, contemplated chicken feet and had the best duck pancake ever! We highly recommend this if you are a serious, or just a hungry, foodie.
