There's no substitute for a great teacher, and as technology makes our world increasingly connected and complex, it's more important than ever for students to become engaged and inspired in the classroom. Both students and research are changing at a rapid pace, and as an educator feeding your thirst for knowledge is critical in order to adapt.
As one of the leading educational travel experts, at Holbrook Travel we know the value of quality professional development for educators. In addition to the renowned academic expeditions we began in 1974, we've also provided professional development programs across the globe for over 12 years.

Fund for Teachers (FFT) awards grants for self-designed professional development experiences to PreK-12th grade teachers who recognize the value of inquiry, the power of knowledge, and their ability to make a difference. Unlike many other teacher grants, FFT puts virtually no limitations on teachers' requests, as evidenced by the 4,500 teachers who have traveled to 120 countries on all 7 continents since 2001. Fellows leverage $5,000 and $10,000 grants into global odysseys that perpetually impact students, classrooms, and communities back home. More on Fund for Teachers »
Our partnership with PASCO scientific provides teachers with the opportunity to collect real time data in the field with SPARKscience kits. Teachers can promote inquiry by turning the rainforest into a living, breathing science lab with sensors that analyze pH, water quality, oxygen levels, and more. To find out how your student group can use the probeware during your educational adventure, contact your specialty travel consultant. More on PASCO scientific ».
