THEY DID IT!
Our Hillsboro Burros boys basketball team won the 4A state championship game last Saturday night! They are the first MNPS school to win state in the large-school division since 1981. The team had a police escort all the way back from MTSU after the game and were met at Hillsboro by lots of cheering fans, band members, proud alums, and even Director of Schools Adrienne Battle and Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell. Congratulations, Burros! What an awesome season!

Annual Fine Arts Showcase Is Tonight!
Experience an evening of creativity and talent at our Fine Arts Showcase TONIGHT, Friday, March 28, 6:00–8:00 PM! This open-house-style event highlights the incredible work of the Hillsboro Visual Art, Theatre, and Music Departments through stunning visual art displays, live music, and captivating performances. Bring the whole family and enjoy hands-on activities like mini masterpiece making and face painting for kids! Light refreshments will be provided as you explore and celebrate the artistic talents of our students.

Restaurant Spirit Nights
We've got two fundraising nights coming up in April at local restaurants. We're so grateful for their support of our school. Each will donate a portion of sales that evening to Hillsboro, so be sure and take the night off from cooking dinner and grab some delicious food at the following spots:

April 11: Waldo's Chicken and Beer (the location at the 70/100 split)
April 28: Taco Bamba

Hillsboro Parents: IB Testing Proctors Needed
It is that time again! The school needs parent (and community) volunteers to serve as proctors for IB exams starting on April 29 and continuing until May 21. Tests are administered off campus at Woodmont Baptist Church, located at 2100 Woodmont Blvd. (right down the street from HHS). Proctors help with monitoring the restroom, monitoring testing rooms, and distributing and collecting materials. Please do not sign up to help on a day when your student will be testing, as IB does not allow parents to be in the testing room with their student. Click HERE to sign up. Questions? There are always rotating weekly specials (sometimes free shipping!) so check back often!

Summer 2026 Italy Trip
Mrs. Banks is taking a group of students to Italy in May of 2026. Parents are also welcome to travel. If you are interested or have any questions, please email Mrs. Banks at lesa.banks@mnps.org. Please note: this is not a school-sponsored trip.

Elementary School Reunions for Class of 2025
Heads up, seniors who attended Percy Priest or Glendale. Reunions with your elementary school classmates are planned for May 3; see below for details. (If your elementary school has a reunion on the calendar, please email ptso@wearehillsboro.com so we can share it here and in the Senior News!)

Percy Priest Alumni News
Speaking of Percy Priest, the school opened its doors to 1st through 8th grade students in September 1957, making the building nearly 67 years old. On Sunday, April 13, there will be a reception from 2:00 to 4:00 PM to honor the school’s rich history and say goodbye to the current building before it is demolished in June. Alumni are invited to walk through the halls one last time and reconnect with fellow former students. Questions? Email percypriestalumni@gmail.com
