Unity Rally January 28, 2012
State Capitol
The Georgia Democratic Party kicked off the year with a two hour rally packed with exciting speakers. The pre-rally atmosphere rocked with the sounds of a regionally famous DJ. Political who's-who were present everywhere, and passers-by honked and waved in support.

Democrats from around the state were represented well. Our sister counties were present in force. Bartow, Cherokee, and Hall came by the van loads. Hall County chair, Jim Taflinger was a featured speaker along with every officer of the DPG, caucus representatives, Senators and Representatives.

Local Party Members Recognized
The January 2012 meeting included an award presentation in recognition of outstanding member participation and leadership rolls in special events.
Unfortunately, not all deserving members were present. Presentation of recognition will continue in the following months as members are able to attend the meetings. |
