Dear Pastor (I mean, honey)
When we first got married, I couldn’t believe I was lucky enough to find someone like you. You were attentive, caring, interested in everything I did, confident in yourself and confident in our future together. Choosing to spend our lives together was an answer to prayer and a dream come true. Being in ministry together was the icing on the cake. I knew we would do amazing things for God together.
I’m trying to figure out how we ended up here instead.
I’m trying to figure out how to tell you the truth in love, when what I feel is not love. I never thought I would be tempted to look at someone else, but I am. I never thought I would entertain the thought of being with another person, but I do. I never thought I would want someone else to care about me the way you do, but I do.
