Every day is Earth Day at the Farmers' Market!

When you shop at the Kensington Farmers' Market, you're doing your part to help support Mother Earth. We offer you a chance to cool the earth by preserving farmland, to recycle all your trash and leftovers right at the market, and to minimize your carbon footprint by walking or riding your bike to the market--all on a sunny Sunday in the company of friends!

To further encourage the Earth Day spirit, we'll be giving away some green freebies at this week's market. In honor of our bicyclists--including our vendors who bike their products to market such as fruit artists, INNA Jam (more...)--everyone who rides their cycle to the market this week will receive a free basket of strawberries! Market goers who recycle empty plastic or aluminum containers at the Food Explorers booth this week will earn one market dollar. And those who bring their own shopping bags will earn one market dollar more!

Sunday morning's musical accompaniment will be provided by favorite local musicians, the Wildcat Fiddlers. This young and talented quartet will be playing from 10-11 with Kickin' the Mule (more...) picking up after that with their much loved funky blues tunes. If you haven't heard these groups yet, you are in for a treat.

Reduce, reuse, recycle and bicycle!
