We’re excited to announce some of the featured speakers and a range of brand new events at this year's Games for Change Festival!

Bringing their expertise to the stage will be award-winning game designer and New York Times best-selling author Jane McGonigal, Dr. James Paul Gee, Ian Bogost, Navid Khonsari (Lead Director of Grand Theft Auto and Alan Wake), Chris Bell (Award-winning designer WAY, Journey), representatives from Social@Ogilvy and Ford Motor Company, plus game designers from Littleloud, Preloaded, Valve Software, and more. We are working to confirm even more amazing speakers and keynotes so stay tuned!

Highlighting the discussions on Games in Cultural Spaces will be representatives from the TATE, California Academy of Sciences, and more.

Our newest daylong event, Federal Games Working Group, is being curated with Constance Steinkuehler, the Senior Policy Analyst at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). This track is dedicated to game developers and others interested in working with US Federal Agencies in order to coordinate ongoing and future video game-based initiatives. This unique working group is led by The White House and includes representatives from multiple federal agencies.

Another new addition comes from the NYU Game Center. Together we are presenting a public evening event called "Agitprop Game Design". This vibrant discussion will highlight indie game designers who are dedicated to creating games that introduce specific political viewpoints to spark public debate.

And of course, our Festival wouldn't be complete without the Games for Learning Day, curated for the third year by the Game for Learning Institute, the Annual Games for Change Awards, the Demo Spotlight, and more.

More updates in the weeks ahead, but as a reminder, you can save 30% off registration by April 20th if you register now!

Cheers,
The Games for Change Team
