Broken Social Scene solo project
Tuesday, March 23rd 8:30p - $15 adv / door
Most singer/songwriters are lonely souls with only a stool, an acoustic guitar and a heart-worn sleeve. Not Jason Collett. Oh sure, the Broken Social Scene guitarist has his instrument and a stack of intimate tales to tell-but his new solo album, Rat a Tat Tat, features Collett digging out of 20 years of the rock 'n' roll trenches highlighted by his track "Rave On Sad Songs" with him doing his best at singing solitary serenades that blossom into an Irish-pub last-call waltz.

A bloody night of backwoods mountain music
Saturday, March 20th 8:30p - $15 adv / door
The long-haired death defiers, Pine Box Boys give the Grim Reaper a nipple twist or two with their waggishly pitch-black tales of murder, misery, and mayhem, and we shouldn’t want it any other way. Gallows humor has been around just as long as we as a species have been able to tell our stories, and this raggle-taggle band of bluegrass ne’er-do-wells is a bold keeper of the tradition, knowing exactly how to spin a dark and bloody yarn and still bust a gut while doing it.
Support: The Earl Brothers, The Last Men on Earth, The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit.
