We hope that this newsletter finds you well! We've said this a lot lately, but it's hard to believe how fast time is flying. We are going on 3 months already! As we write this, we are back in Mandeville at the Jamaica Deaf Village. We have spent the last 3 weeks at the Montego Bay campus helping out the missionaries there. The missionary family there, the Daniels, are expecting their 6th child soon. With that going on, as well as having 3 teams, they needed an extra hand in Montego Bay. It was really good to get to know some more of the staff and students while we were there.

Two weeks ago we saw some familiar faces! Brad Ervin, our church's mission pastor, and Michael Wallace, our church's Youth and UT campus pastor, flew down to visit us. It was so good to have them here and to show them where we live and the things that we do here. We are looking forward to having a team from our church come to work with us here. Last week, we also had CCCD's stateside president here. It was good to see him and to hear some encouraging words from him, since he and his family lived here as missionaries in the past. With all of these visitors, we made the trip between Montego Bay and Mandeville a few times! We're getting used to making that 2 1/2 hour drive already! (One of the days while driving, it started to rain, and it really REALLY rained. We got to a road and there was about 8 inches of running water! We made it through, but I think that was the most water I have ever driven through...)

Yesterday we drove over to Kingston with about 85 deaf from the Mandeville area. We met with other deaf churches from all around Jamaica for their annual deaf revival. There was between 300-400 deaf there! Krista voice interpreted for the hearing individuals that were there. A local christian TV station was there recording the service. It was awesome seeing everybody come together and encourage one another to make a difference in the lives of the deaf in Jamaica.
And there were several deaf who committed their lives to Christ for the first time!

We praised God that we have maintained all of our supporters for the first three months we've been on field. We just wanted to thank you for all your support.

If you haven't been to our website lately you really should check it out. We are taking questions for a special Q and A video blog. Please send us any questions you might have. www.bkbeukema.org

Coming up...

Krista has spring break next week and then she'll continue teaching after that. Ben has a team from Kalamazoo, MI coming in on the 31st. The Huber family will be leaving JDV on April 10th. They have been serving with CCCD for 4 years and it will be sad to see them go.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for us as well as the village here as the Huber family leaves.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for continued "settling in." We will be at JDV though April and then we will be back in Montego Bay for the month of May. A lot of living out of suitcases again.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for us as we continue to develop relationships with the people here and that God would guide our steps.
