CCAC Grant Recipient Carrie Trenholm
Supports Canyon Creek Women's Crisis Center

Artist Carrie Tenholm's piece that hangs at the Canyon Creek Women's Crisis Center

Artist Carrie Trenholm was a recipient of an artist grant from the Cedar City Arts Council. When awarded the grant, Carrie partnered her time and the funds to create a community project for the Canyon Creek Women's Crisis Center.

The conception and creation of the project was a special process for Trenholm. To her, It was imperative that the CCWC community was a part of the development. Engaging the women in artistry exercises based on life paths, strength, inspiration and emotions brought life to the project. Trenholm drew from the powerful group experiences and created the glass piece pictured above. As called out by the group, the colors represent energy, strength, resilance and happiness and the dancers, with arms uplifted, convey joy and strength.

The Cedar City Arts Council is proud to share this act of kindness. Visit the Canyon Creek Women's Crisis Center blog entry that features Carrie Trenholm's contribution.

Carrie is pictured above with Jerry Eddleman, the creator of the metal frame work that supports the piece at the center.
