The ACAT Board of Directors and ACAT Members Thank Mark Masteller for his nearly two decades of service to ACAT and its members. Mark recently resigned his ACAT Board Secretary duties to avoid any conflicts with his campaign for Mayor of the Mat-Su Borough. He will remain on the ACAT Board.  Mark has served on the ACAT Board of Directors for many years.  He also served as ACAT Executive Director for almost 10 years. Mark was a co-founder of Bioneers in Alaska, an ACAT project for 6 years. He is currently head of Cascadia Green Building Council in Alaska, a professional association for architects, designers and U.S. Green Building Council and LEED.

    Solar Thermal and Storage Systems
    Presenter Serge Adamian, PE, President and CEO of SunChiller, Inc. will cover topics including solar thermal opportunities, large and small scale systems, seasonal storage, comparing different collection systems. Serge Adamian currently manages SunChiller, a company that markets solar thermal systems and collectors for industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Prior to SunChiller he started and managed companies in diverse fields of solar thermal collector manufacturing, hydrogen fuel cell R&D and manufacturing, software development, and wind-farm development.

    ACAT Members Only: June 22 Summer Solstice Celebration - Agate Inn
    6:30-9:30pm. This will be an ACAT members only event.  Karl Schmid, one of Germanys leading solar Architects and solar installer, will be our presenter. This will be a potluck, (bring a dish) with a presentation after dinner. Subject will be Solar PV systems in Germany. Karl will bring us up to date on his projects since he last spoke to us two years ago.

    June & July Free Solar PV, Solar Thermal and wind workshops
    In June, Solar Energy International will be conducting 4, week-long workshops in Anchorage, including solar PV, solar thermal and wind power.  These workshops are FREE to Alaskans, thanks to Yukon River Intertribal Watershed Council and the state Department of Labor.  If you traveled to SEI for these they would cost between $800 and $1000 per course, not including travel costs.
