May 8, 2012 - Students make a donation to Anne Frank in the World

The Anne Frank in the World Exhibit in Sandy Springs hosted a group of 5th and 6th graders from Mountain View Elementary School Beta Club in Woodstock, Georgia. The trip to the exhibit was voted on by the students and won out over the World of Coca-Cola, and the Atlanta Zoo. After touring the exhibit, the students presented the exhibit staff and volunteers with a large replica of a check in the amount of $125.00. Each of the students participated in raising money by babysitting or doing other types of chores. Read more on the website.


May 9, 2012 - Students visit Anne Frank in the World after creating Holocaust museum of their own

Students of Caldwell Early College High School in Hudson, North Carolina, toured the Anne Frank in the World exhibit on May 9. The year before the sophomore class had created a museum in their high school to teach the middle school students of their district about the Holocaust. The students read Elie Wiesel's Night then researched and presented various topics while giving back to the community. Photos of the museum can be viewed here

Defiant Requiem: Verdi at Terezín 

Order tickets now! Join the Anti-Defamation League for a once in a lifetime multimedia concert event being held at the Woodruff Arts Center with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus performing Verdi's Requiem conducted by Murry Sidlin woven with the incredible stories, footage, and interviews with performers of the Requiem at Terezin during the Holocaust. Tickets can be purchased online from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

MJCCA Book Festival: Buddy and Gertrude Elias, Anne Frank's Family

Monday, May 21, 7:30pm: Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Buddy Elias, Anne Frank's first cousin and only living relative, when he and his wife present their book, Anne Frank's Family. The book recounts the letters, drawings, poems, photographs, postcards, and other types of correspondence between the Frank family members. Click here for more.
