Hello, from O’Brien Guitars!

Dear Fellow Luthier,
 
 

If you haven't yet heard, big changes are happening at O’Brien Guitars. This is my last semester at Red Rocks Community College. BEGINNING MAY 22, I will be teaching classes exclusively at the Colorado School of Lutherie in Denver and in my personal shop in Parker, Colorado.  Review the class schedule here. 

If you can be in the Denver area on May 20, come by my OPEN HOUSE.  I'll be giving a 10%-off door prize that can be applied to any one of my courses in 2012.  See details, below.
 
I am also beginning a newsletter.  In it, there will be articles with building tips and techniques from my shop and from fellow luthiers.  I’m also planning interviews with some of the greats in guitar building.  Send me your ideas about what you would like to see in the O'Brien Guitars newsletter.

Drop by the Colorado School of Lutherie table and find out about classes I’m teaching this summer and fall.  See my online videos. Check out musical instruments and gear at the show and even swap some of your stuff.  Get a free guitar appraisal from my friend, Edward Dick, of Victor Guitar.       Admission- $6 
  
Saturday, May 19
I’ll be at the Ukefest with Edward Dick all day talking about classes and videos on building guitars and ukeleles.  The Ukefest will also feature workshops, open stage and jam sessions.  Drop by and say hello.           I hope you have your tickets, because it is SOLD OUT.

Come see the Colorado School of Lutherie at Victor Guitar where I will be holding guitar building and masterclasses this summer and fall.  There will be refreshments, door prizes and entertainment.   I’ll even have embroidered O’Brien Guitars hats and shirts on hand. Bring the family.
