Learn about the iPad Pilot Project

iPadYou are invited to an open forum/luncheon to discuss the results from the past year’s iPad pilot project. The College of Professional Studies dean’s office will be providing subs, chips and water for those attending. CPS conducted a pilot project to study the impact and usefulness of tablets (iPads) in higher education. We solicited requests from faculty and staff who were interested in participating. Those selected agreed to participate in a forum with their peers at the end of the school year where they would be required to give a short presentation regarding their experiences, both good and bad. We want the pilot project participants to share not only their successes, but also their failures. What worked? What didn’t work? How did they envision using the device? What difficulties did they encounter? RSVP by emailing George.HeeresIII@uwsp.edu.

Marty's Message

I was lucky enough to attend four very special events this past weekend: the Communicative Disorders awards reception, its 50th anniversary celebration, the Business and Economics awards banquet and the Health Promotion & Human Development student celebration. Each of these events were well organized, well attended and embodied the unique personalities of the departments that held them. From sharing memories of days past, to entertaining business partners and honoring scholarship recipients, to playing volleyball and making s’mores with faculty and students.

Near the end of the ComD event, I overheard a retired faculty member say, “This was really a nice weekend … I’m so proud to be part of it!” I couldn’t agree more.
