Hello, I have a few events all happening in New York this month and next - two group shows, the launch of an edition and an artists residency - which I'd like to tell you about.

Year One, Group Show and Edition
Year One celebrates Toomer Labzda's inaugural year of the gallery. Joe Brittain, Blue Curry, Leah Dixon, Kate Steciw and Mia Taylor each present one work incorporating paper – a traditional first anniversary gift.
Accompanying the exhibition is a limited box set edition, which includes a piece by each artist.

Earth WORKS: Ten Artists on Land and Industry

Through the many manifestations of documentation, specific histories and potential futures, visions are formed that act as timely metaphors toward the evolution of our relationship with land and industry. The artists in Earth WORKS show how the desire to intervene and examine these relationships simultaneously illuminates the casualties of the present while igniting a promise for the future. Curated by Anneliis Beadnell and Stuart Morrison.

Art Omi International Artists Residency
The Art Omi International Artists Residency invites over 30 visual artists from every continent, representing a wide diversity of artistic styles, to gather in rural New York State to experiment, collaborate and share ideas. During three weeks each june/july, concentrated time for creative work is balanced with the stimulation of cultural exchange and critical appraisal.
On Sunday 15 july there will be an Open Studios Day when you are welcome to visit me and the other resident artists in the barn house studios.
