About Cadence

Young, searching, impressionable, moldable, and eager for relationship, many of those serving in the armed forces are in some of the most strategic moments of their lives—moments of receptivity, of soul-searching, of discovery, and of life transformation. Cadence International® exists to be there during these strategic moments sharing the gospel and our lives. It’s why we are here—for military people and their families, for these poignant moments of life-change. Read more at Cadence.org
Life's Progressive Dinner

Our summer of travel has begun and surprise, our plans have already changed. But more on that in a minute, here is what's on the menu for now:

Appetizer

We took a “bye” for our monthly e-mail in May due to the birth of our second child, Silas Levi, on May 10th. In fact Elaine was supposed to write one, but went into labor that very day instead. He arrived happy and healthy at 7 pounds 11 ounces. Our little family of four is adjusting well. Ada likes being a big sister. She’s still young enough that she isn’t any help with baby, but enjoys loving on him.

Salad

We have been blessed to enjoy visiting with several churches in Texas over the past two weeks. We had planned to make several road trips this summer but during this trip we’ve really seen God leading us a different direction. As we finish up our trip this week we will go home to Aurora, CO sell and pack our belongings and relocate to Texas (DFW area) for the remainder of our Partnership Development. We will still be spending time in Pennsylvania this summer, but any other travel has been canceled. This was a hard decision to make (knowing we would have seen many of you this summer) but it is great to know that God is leading us in this direction.

Meat

We are in conversation with Cadence HQ about potential assignments, and are excited about the possibilities. Yes, there are at least two strong options on the table! We will let you know once we have the details of our assignment and ministry in Europe within a few weeks. Our passion for providing a “home away from home” community for military members and their families overseas has been rekindled. We love these people and we know you do too. You love them in general, and many of you love them specifically, having sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, serving. If God has enabled you to help us get there, please consider joining us as a monthly supporter or giving a one time gift toward our start up fund. We still need $25, $50, $75 or $100 a month supporters to meet our montly needs as well as one time donations of any amount that will help us reach our need of $20,000.

Veggies

Our immediate needs: We would love your prayers for our transition to Texas. Pray for our children, because traveling in the car is not their favorite thing to do. They aren't old enough to count cows or sing songs!

Dessert

If you live in the Cleburne/Ft. Worth area and would like to have coffee or lunch please give us a call! Also if you or anyone you know could provide us housing or transportation please let us know. We want to Glorify Christ with our lives and hope you are encouraged by our good news.

For His Glory,
Wes, Elaine, Ada & Silas
Wes (817) 888-1133
Elaine (817) 888-1155

Here is Ada loving on her little brother. She is so sweet to him, when she's not playing the drums on his head. Her favorite thing to do is "kiss the baby."
This is the best part about hitting the road, seeing old friends. Thanks to Brent and Lacy Hassler for giving us a place to stay and taking us out for Mexican food!
