Prayer points and updates on what is happening at Anglican Missions, our overseas Mission Partners, and short stories from Parishes.
Hi Supporter

June was a big month for us at Anglican Missions, with our new look launched and the release of the new and improved Mission Action. Hope you've all managed to complete the crossword! If you haven't seen it yet you can view Mission Action here.

Thanks to those of you sharing your ideas for how to fundraise for Missions! We find these inspiring and hope they will inspire more people in their fundraising efforts.

Pilgrimage to Israel

The Anglican Missions Pilgrimage to Israel is underway with the Rev Mike Hawke.

Gidday from Israel. We have just returned from the Western Wall. The Dead sea was fantastic as was the Petra Valley, though the walk up 800 steps in 39 degree heat almost did us in as we tried to get to the Monastry! Tomorrow we walk down from the Mount of Olives and visit St Georges where Robert is. We enjoyed singing "Joshua fought the battle of Jericho" at the walls of Jericho. Hope this email find you all well; luv Mike

Please pray for the people on the Pilgrimage to Israel; that they keep safe and stay in good health for their journey.

Namara Settlement

Landless People Project - Anglican Missions

The Housing Authority have applied for the land at Tacirua East for the ten households from the Namara community, however construction works at the Tacirua Subdivision have been delayed due to adverse weather conditions in recent months.

Please pray that the application is accepted for lots in Tacirua East and that development can continue after the flood damage.

That's all for now!

Mission Chips

From St Chad's Church Upper Westown New Plymouth.

"One of our Parishioners continually makes marmalade, jams, chutney, relish etc  which we sell at church. All  the proceeds go to Anglican Missions. Last year $990.00 was raised just from this venture. Gwen's preserves are in great demand not only from the parishioners but also from the folk who call in to purchase Ezee meals which we obtain from the Wellington City Mission Foods."

Lost and Found

From the many many boxes of stamps we receive in the office every week... sometimes we get things that are not stamps. Sorting stamps on the table then find you're one 4 card short in Uno? We have it! From casette tapes, uno cards, drawings from your children, curtain hooks, coins, badges...

Unfortunately as all stamps are collated into similar types when they reach the office we have no idea who the owners of these many objects are. Have a look through our gallery - maybe you'll recognise something! Here are a few - we have more in our gallery.
