Meaningful Connections
A Message from Elizabeth Venart, LPC, Resiliency Center Director

The month of June is off to a great start already! I really appreciated the diverse gathering of men and women for our networking breakfast last week. Since that time, I was inspired by the conversation during our monthly integrative consultation at The Resiliency Center and enjoyed an interesting and insightful professional lunch with David Nover, a skilled and compassionate Bucks County Psychiatrist. I love learning about the fabulous array of quality healthcare services in the Greater Philadelphia area and am always happy to spread the good news. If I haven’t seen you in person for a while, consider attending a networking breakfast over the summer.

Additionally, if you would like to be featured as a practitioner in future newsletters or have a group or professional training that you would like for me to share on your behalf, please email me at evenart@verizon.net.

Wishing you peace, joy, and prosperity,
Elizabeth

Susan Brewer, Counselor and Life Coach

Susan BrewerSusan V. Brewer, a Counselor and Life Coach, has over 20 years of clinical experience and has been in private practice in Sellersville for 14 years. Working with adolescents and adults, she specializes in drug and alcohol addictions, codependency, gambling, family dysfunction and relationship issues, and promoting healthy self-esteem. Her goal is to provide caring, supportive and confidential counseling and coaching services to all of her clients. “We create balance in our lives by being honest, open and willing to take risks with ourselves and our relationships with others in all aspects of our lives.” Her belief is that all persons are truly “greater than they think they are.”

She is currently running a Young Women’s Group for ages 18-27 years old on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Group discussion focuses on interpersonal conflicts, family and social relationships, coping strategies, and decision-making skills – and contributes to an overall sense of well-being. Participants gain a greater understanding of whom they are, how to identify and manage their feelings, and the roles they play in current social and family relationships and how they can change.

FREE Rubenfeld Synergy Sessions
Think of your body like the black box of an airplane.  It records your surroundings, your emotions, past mental or physical trauma, stress, and your memories. Together, these become your unique story as told by the body in your posture, your walk, and in habitual patterns that develop over time.  Rubenfeld Synergy uses gentle touch and reflective listening to help you learn to be in touch with this body-mind connection. By developing awareness to patterns existing in your body, change becomes possible.

Brittiney George is a Pilates Instructor that is currently in training to become Rubenfeld Somatic Synergist. As part of this training, she is looking for practice clients and is offering up to 5 free sessions per person from now thru September. Through her work as a physical therapy intern and Pilates instructor, Brittiney came to recognize the importance of the body-mind connection with healing.  She saw the holding patterns that developed from physical pain and was amazed at the level of emotion that could be generated by a simple, caring touch and the healing that could transpire when the mind and the body worked together towards that goal.

For more information or to schedule a FREE session please contact Brittiney George at 610-389-7866 or via e-mail at movebackintolife@gmail.com.
