6/19 The Gemini New Moon occurs at 11:02 am ET. New Moons are excellent times to write lists of priorities for the month. The Gemini New Moon is especially good at aiding any communication or writing projects, as well as situations with siblings or neighbors. Knowing where the new moon falls in your individual horoscope can heighten your awareness on how to maximize its potential.
The Sabian Symbol** for this degree of Gemini is “The first mockingbird in spring”. For anyone who has ever been held captive by the sound of a mockingbird, they are either a bird to delight or confound. With their ability to move through a cacophony of calls, they can make you laugh or even be irritated; yet always they are a reminder of the beauty of detachment.
Because of its nature, its song is seldom the same and the odds are it has learned some new calls over the winter. I think this New Moon reminds us to listen to what’s said and indicated around us, because even though we’re in a cycle of new beginnings, there is information coming that we haven’t heard.
So when you launch into your new projects or goals over the next couple of weeks, be flexible. Keep open to fresh starts and don’t think that because you’ve experienced something before you know exactly how it’s going to play out.
For those local to Croton-on-Hudson, I facilitate a New Moon Gathering: Seeds for Growth at Opal Moon tonight at 7 pm. Call 914-788-4955 for reservations and information.
Wishing you a lovely fresh start in this New Moon cycle.
