Meet StartUp Health at World Congress mHealth Innovation Exchange Conference


World Congress is teaming up with ONC to bring you a national mHealth innovation exchange event which brings together mHealth entrepreneurs and healthcare IT leaders from across the U.S. in presentation, match-making, and commercial collaboration sessions to accelerate the pace of adoption of innovative mHealth solutions in the medical marketplace. The StartUp Health team will be at the event if you want to meet up in person. StartUp Health founder, Unity Stoakes, will be featured on the roundtable discussion panel, “mHealth Innovation and the Emerging & Critical Role of the Innovation Accelerator Organization.” The inaugural one-day World Congress mHealth Innovation Exchange Conference is on July 25, 2012 at the Colonnade Hotel in the historic Back Bay of Boston, MA, the largest medical marketplace in the U.S.


Now Is the Time to Apply to the DC to VC: Health IT Startup Showcase


StartUp Health is partnering with Morgenthaler Ventures and Health 2.0 to help lead a nationwide DC to VC contest to find the best startup companies in health information technology (HIT). The competition is open to any U.S.-based startup seeking Series-A funding that is applying cutting edge technology to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare. In its 3rd year, the event will be co-located with the Health 2.0 Fall Annual Conference in San Francisco on October 10, 2012. See more details here.


2012 Data Design Diabetes Innovation Challenge Winner Announced


StartUp Health is proud to have been a mentor for the 2012 Sanofi DDD Innovation Challenge. Congratulations to this year’s winner, n4a Diabetes Care Center! n4a matches patients exhibiting certain cost patterns and risk profiles with appropriate support and services designed to slow the progression and expenditures of diabetes. During a celebratory event at Sanofi US, n4a received $100,000 to further develop its solution to improve diabetes care. Rolling Admissions to StartUp Health Academy - Apply Today to be Considered for Future Class

StartUp Health is still in the process of reviewing Healthcare Transformer applications for our next class.  Due to the overwhelming number of applications we have received, we have extended the time frame to make sure we can review all of the applicants. If you haven’t heard from us we are still in the process of reviewing every application thoroughly. Additionally, we have additional classes which will be announced later this year.  As always, feel free to reach out to us if you have any updates since you submitted your original application. If you have not yet applied, you can still apply today. We have a rolling admissions process; even if you aren’t invited to our next class, you will be considered for future classes.
