Hello from Dani...
Dearest Comrades & Companions,
So far, it's been a lovely summer. I had the chance to drive up to Pennsylvania and go tubing down the beauuutiful Delaware River for FOUR WHOLE HOURS! It was so relaxing and only about a two hour drive from Manhattan! (If this interests anyone, I would love to tell you where to go!)
I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who was able to make it out to The Official Screening of The Paper House Report hosted by Actresses As Allies. It was a great success! Columnist Steve Lewis of BlackBook Magazine wrote a fantastic article about the event which you can see here. We were also written up in... drum roll pleaseee... The New York Times! Woo!
I would love to hear what you are up to as well! Always feel free to shoot me an email.
Dare to be brilliant,
Dani
PS- You are receiving this because I want to become better at staying in touch with you! I would love to send you brief, periodic & fun updates. If you do not want to receive them, no worries! Looking for a GREAT show to see?
Tennessee Williams', A Streetcar Named Desire is now playing at The Broadhurst Theatre on Broadway. The run will come to an end on July 22nd. With a student ID card, tickets are just $29! I saw the show last Friday night and it was EXCELLENT! I highly recommend it. For more information, check out StreetcarOnBroadway. |

Looking for a GREAT book to read?
I am currently reading The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. I'm about half-way through and so far it has been quite inspiring! Here's a quote from one of my favorite passages on Resistance and getting yourself into trouble, "The working artist will not tolerate trouble in her life because she knows trouble prevents her from doing her work. The working artist banishes from her world all sources of trouble. She harnesses the urge for trouble and transforms it in her work." |
