CALLING ALL MEMBERS... The 2012 Finalists have been selected and it is now our job to make an educated vote at the Annual Meeting, October 25th!  Expect to receive a packet containing summaries from each finalist via the mail in the near future and make plans to attend site visits.  Site visits give each member the opportunity to; not only understand the grant as detailed in the summary, but to ask questions of the grant applicants.  These visits also allow members to really understand the passion and dedication of each organization's project and how it will truly "IMPACT"  our community!

I have always believed, if nothing else, members should make every effort to attend the finalist's site visits.  It is the best way to make a well informed decision.  Being surrounded in the finalist's atmosphere, listening to their passion gives IMPACT members a much greater understanding of the needs these organizations see everyday and the hope they have in their project.

Thank you again for believing in our mission, your POWER OF ONE truly makes a difference.  Just come and experience the POWER at our Annual Meeting October 25th!

Tips for Selecting a Winner
Pat Jones, Grants Chair

When you recieve your IMPACT 100 Owensboro packet in the mail, here are some suggestions for making the most of the information you receive from the organizations that have been selected as finalists.  I call these the 5 - S's!

S ~ S ~ S ~ S ~ S

SCAN ~ Become familiar with the 5 grants and the 5 non-profits represented.
STUDY ~ Get our your highlighter and read up on their proposed projects.  Mark the things you have questions about - star the things you like.
SCHEDULE ~ Put the site visit dates on your calendar.  Pick a time that works for you.  Invite another IMPACT 100 Owensboro member to attend with you.
SEE AND HEAR ~ Becoming more familiar with the services offered by each of the finalists make us all winners in this process.  Each organization not only has the opportunity to be selected for funding but is able to showcase their services to the IMPACT 100 women of Owensboro.
SELECT ~ Whether voting by absentee ballot or at the Annual Meeting, you will have made an educated decision because you have read about, visited, and heard the impact each of these organziations plan to make on our community.
