Quote of the week:

“We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves, or more deeply engrossed in anything than when we are playing.” - Charles Schaefer

Sarah Edmondson ... From: Born and raised in Vancouver. Lives: On trendy main street (in Vancouver) amidst the hipsters and work all over the city... office is downtown. Work: Voice Over, Actress, Producer and co-founder of Ethical Arts Ltd. Most of the voice work I do, tho, is conveniently within 5-10 minted walking distance from my place. I LOVE that…strolling down main street with a tea to go play! Love my work- all aspects of it!

Q: What inspires you to want to jump for joy?
A: Projects like yours!! I love seeing people doing extraordinary things…breaking though limitations and expressing themselves in a unique and uplifting way.

Q.What was your experience like doing the jumping photos?
A: I hadn't thought a lot about the shoot, nor planned a creative outfit or anything like some of my friends and fellow joy jumpers. It was very spontaneous and really just an expression of me! I was a little hesitant at first, as I tried to defy gravity, but once we started to just "giv 'er", as we say in Canada, the joy just poured out! Was quite surprised as to how elated I felt by the end of the shoot. Good to know for the future ;)

Q: What inspired you to choose this location?
A: This is one of my favorite spots in the whole world! And definitely in Vancouver. This little grassy knoll in Kits point is where I have been coming for years to ground myself. One of my most cherished things to do is read or journal on the grass here. I love seeing the mountains, and the water and the activity along the seawall. It's also the perfect place for a catnap or a picnic with friends.

Q: What inspires you in life?
A: My friends inspire me every day. I am moved by connecting deeply with people, adventure, success, growth, and human excellence.

Q: What is/are your greatest passion(s) in life?
A: I have many! Firstly, helping people grow and reach their goals and potential. I love connecting people and assisting them on their journey. I love to act…to share good and important stories that help people think and act differently.

Q: What is your driving force in life?
A: Learning to live in a more joyful and compassionate way.

Q: What is your philosophy in life?
A: "Leap and the net will appear" - John Burroughs

Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: To help change people's lives for the better. To inspire them to evolve themselves, and thereby the world! I am always looking to figure out how to improve myself and to be the change that I wish to see in the world. I would love to open centres all over the world that teach the tools of
Executive Success Programs, an incredible company that I have been working with for about 7 years now. These centres would also be creative hubs for artists and entrepreneurs to congregate at. A place where people could come together to grow, collaborate, and create new projects and work on their respective endeavors.

Q: What work/art/projects are you working on?
A: My new site! www.sarahedmondson.com and demo reelI JUST got my 01-Visa so I can work as an actor in the states. HURRAH! AND, I am producing a documentary about Sugar with Anthony Ames and Scott Altomare (What the Bleep do we Know?).

Over the years, Sarah has dedicated her limitless energy and positivity to the worlds of acting, voice over, yoga and Ethical Arts Ltd, a company she co-founded with a mission to deliver educational programs and develop media projects which uphold compassion, humanity and ethics in the world. She first launched her professional acting career on the CBC teen soap Edgemont.

Sarah went on to numerous lead and supporting roles including Fox's Fringe, SyFy’s Andromeda and Stargate SG-1, USA Network’s Dead Zone and dramedy Psych. She also recently joined the cast of Showcase’s Continuum in a recurring role as a politician’s wife with her own secret agenda. Sarah’s film accolades are many… the critically acclaimed feature, A Gun to the Head, which premiered at the TIFF. The launch of this film came on the heels of Sarah’s Leo Award-nominated comedic roles in the short films Awkward and Sparklelite Motel.

All photos of Sarah were taken at Kitsilano beach (aka Kits Beach) in Vancouver, BC Canada. Like Jump for Joy! Newsletter - Featuring Sarah Edmondson on Facebook
