This week, we lost a man who inspired everyone who heard his story. Charlie Futrell, the world's oldest competing triathlete, died on Sunday, just 10 days before his 92nd birthday. Since turning 60, Charlie competed in more than 400 road races and 120 triathlons, including four Ironman races in Hawaii. In 2001, he became the world's oldest person to complete a triathlon. We spoke with Charlie a couple years ago and he told us why he urged everyone he met to remember that it's never too late to get started. Listen to our interview to hear his passion for living life well and to its fullest.
