Lights! Camera! Inclusion! Video Contest Judges Announced
BCACL is excited to announce the talented group of individuals making up the judging panel for our Lights! Camera! Inclusion! Video Contest. The panel of seven includes:

Survey and Research study seeking participants
  • GO4KIDDS is seeking parents/caregivers of CANADIAN CHILDREN AND YOUTH AGED 10 to 16 YEARS with moderate, severe, profound developmental disabilities, to participate in an anonymous survey. This online survey asks about needs and access to health care and other services. Particpants are eligible to receive a $50 honourarium. Visit the website for more information.
  • A doctoral student at the University of Victoria is studying the different ways that parental caregivers of adults with intellectual disabilities plan for the future of their child. Participants will fill out a questionnaire and, if interested, a telephone conversation. Read more...

Autism Outreach Workshops for Parents and Caregivers
The Ministry of Children and Family Development is offering 2-day parent/caregiver workshops across the province as part of the outreach program for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). The workshops are free but you must register to attend. Read the flyer here.
