NoMa Website Back in Business!
Last week, the NoMa BID website was down for a few days because it was hacked!. (Who would want to hurt our website :-() Two really smart people: Charisse Robinson and NoMa neighbor, Mark Jablonowski came to the rescue and rebuilt our website and moved it to a new server (yay!).

Mark Jablonowksi is the Founder and CEO of Rogue Global Solutions (RGS), a technology consulting firm for government and international organizations. Prior to founding RGS, Mark was the Chief Technology Officer for the Presidential Inaugural Committee and Regional IT Manager with Obama for America. Along with consulting, Mark’s firm also provides web hosting and maintenance. Most importantly Mark is a NoMa neighbor who saw that the site was down and volunteered his assistance in bringing it back up.

Charisse Robinson is a web consultant, providing support to the NoMa BID marketing team with the website and other web issues. We send a huge thank you to Mark and Charisse and a bigger thanks to our friends and neighbors for being patient with us during our time away from the web!
NoMa Farmers Market: Welcome Takoma Mushrooms!
Takoma Mushrooms is a family-run operation located in Takoma Park, Maryland. They began cultivating gourmet mushrooms when they found a lack of quality and variety of mushrooms in area grocery stores. They started with oyster mushrooms in their small grow-house and were amazed by the rich texture and flavor of freshly harvested mushrooms. Come discover the flavors of their harvest yourself by visiting the Takoma Mushrooms stand at the NoMa market this Wednesday!

NoMa Farmers Market runs every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the entrance of the NoMa-Gallaudet U metro station (Second and N Streets, NE). All produce and baked goods are fresh and provided by local farmers, right here in the D.C. metro area!

The market is now accepting WIC and EBT.

For details on how to get involved in the market, contact farmersmarket@nomabid.org.
