Cholta Cholta Walk in Taleigao

Celebrating Konsachem Fest on 21st August at 5 pm

Konsachem Fest is a traditional celebration where the first sheaves (konsa) of the rice harvest are cut and blessed. The walk is intended for participants to learn about the tradition around the feast, why the first sheaves are traditionally offered to the Govenor and how this tradition is followed for more than a century in Taleigao. The walk will be led by writer and historian Vasco Pinho who will take us through time in a Cholta Cholta. The walk begins from Bookworm, Taleigao.
