STORIES

Water Tank Project for All Saints' Anglican Church, Fasi, Tonga

All Saints' Parish is a small congregation of 39 families varying from 11 to single (one) members in each, with a total of approximately 161 members. It is a close community with most of the members living near to the church compound. This water tank project is not only for use of the Priest's family and during church activities, but it is also for the daily use of the members/community who are without tanks at home. Currently All Saints' has one cement tank working but this new addition is much appreciated by all.

The foundation (photo right) was constructed with cement blocks and reinforcements to support the tank holding 10,000 gallons of drinking water. The weight of the water storage when full of rain water is equal to a normal sized family car, therefore it was crucial not to overlook the importance of making a solid foundation. The water tanks are algae resistant and could last up to 75 years.

"From all of us here at All Saints' we thank you for this project making sure that our children and everyone will always have unlimited supply of fresh clean water... MALO 'AUPITO!"

STAMPS

Stamp Update

The stamp total for 2012 has just hit $13,541.

Jane (our resident stamp lady) set a target on the 18th of July to sell an average of $95 of stamps a day. Insane? Yes! Attainable? Turns out it is! So far she is averaging $97.16 a day! We'd love to keep the momentum up so keep the stamps coming! For more information on sending stamps see our website.
