MHDT is recruiting for
Manor House PACT project

Spread the word... Following confirmation of £1m funding from The Big Lottery Fund MHDT are recruiting two people for the full-time posts of PACT Coordinator and PACT Marketing and Administration Assistant.

The aim of the three year project is to enable local communities to become resilient and to thrive in the face of the effects of climate change such as extreme weather.  We’re working on the project with Hackney Council, Haringey Council, Hackney Homes, Homes for Haringey, Genesis Housing Association, Berkeley Homes, London Sustainability Exchange, Groundwork London and Transition Finsbury Park.

We’re now recruiting two people to work on the project:
PACT Project Coordinator
Salary package up to £31,152 (depending on experience)
PACT Marketing and Administration Assistant
Salary package up to £22,950 (depending on experience)

Working at heights training

MHDT are recruiting 8 people for Get High working at heights accredited training. Trainees will learn how to use powered access equipment, mobile access towers and ladders along with window cleaning techniques, abseiling and fall protection.

The training is run by Be Safety and funded by Young Hackney. It can lead to employment opportunities such as window cleaning, building maintenance and repair, tree surgery, working in the natural environment, the oil industry.

You can apply for the training if you are:
  • A Hackney resident
  • Aged 18-25
  • Medically fit for working at heights
  • Willing to travel
  • Motivated and committed

Well London Youth Apprentices

MHDT have worked with Youthforce to recruit two youth work apprentices for Well London at Woodberry Down plus another who will work with youth services at Woodberry Down over the next year. We'll introduce them to you next month.

Black History Month Celebration

26 October, 5–11pm at The Redmond Community Centre

Blema cultural troop presents Slave Trade, a dance drama featuring a fashion show, poem recital, comedy and unique arts. There will be an after-party with free Caribbean and African food. Performing guest artists include a famous musician from Ghana, sponsored by Allodia, Two Good from Ghana plus Afrobeats from DJ Fafisa. The event is supported by: MHDT, Jamboulay carnival art and Space Clottey

Hire The Redmond Community Centre for your meetings and events
