October Workshops
We have two great workshops coming up in October. Spaces have been filling up quickly for previous workshops so get your spot while you can by signing up online!

Winter Gardening Construction (Sunday, October 14th): this workshop will show you how to protect your garden from the frostier winter months and keep it bearing vegetables for much longer. You will be able to recreate a cloche (mini greenhouse) in your own backyard when you’re done this workshop. Basic winter gardening concepts will also be covered! $15 for members / $20 non-members.

Intro to Tools (Saturday, October 20th): our ever popular introductory workshop returns! Become confident using commonly used tools through practicing and great tips from our instructor. Bring your questions and project ideas with you! $15 for members / $20 non-members.

Canadian Mattress Recycling Offering Free Wood for VTL Members
Trying to cut costs on your latest DIY project? The good people at Canadian Mattress Recycling have generously offered to allow VTL’ers to pick up as much recycled wood as they need - for free! Using reclaimed wood is not only more beneficial for the environment than new products but it looks great too! Call Claudio at 604.777.0325 Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 to schedule a time pick some up. And in the meantime, check out some of these inspiring reclaimed wood projects to get your ideas flowing!

Tool Donations!

This new VTL initiative aims to connect you to community-oriented DIY projects happening accross Vancouver. Maybe your local school is repairing their old playground or installing a food garden . Shop Improvements
Thanks for your patience as we closed the shop last week to allow for staff and volunteer training, inventory management, and tool maintenance. We're back to our regular hours and the shop is looking better than ever! Our thanks to all the volunteers who made it out last week to help out with all the cleaning and organizing.
