HUD Updates NSP FAQs
In October 2012, HUD published a comprehensive update of the NSP FAQs. Revisions made to the FAQs include adding clarifying or updated guidance, combining similar FAQs, and removing outdated information. FAQs that are currently available address the following topics:

FAQs related to land banks and demolition are currently being developed.

The NSP FAQs Archive contains all FAQs posted prior to October 2012. Note that some of the FAQs in the archives contain outdated information. In addition, note that Federal Register Notices and Policy Alerts have greater authority than FAQs. Grantees should ALWAYS review published policy and consult with their local HUD Field Office before they base a programmatic decision on an FAQ. View the current NSP FAQs on the NSP Resource Exchange FAQs page.

Submit DRGR Technical Questions Using the OneCPD Resource Exchange Ask A Question (AAQ)
Starting September 27, 2012, NSP grantees with a DRGR technical and/or functional question should submit the question using the OneCPD Resource Exchange Ask A Question. Grantees and partners with NSP policy related DRGR questions should continue to submit those questions and other NSP questions to the NSP Resource Exchange Ask a Question. HUD will transition the NSP Ask a Question to the OneCPD Resource Exchange in late 2012. Learn more about the OneCPD AAQ launch.

HUD Announces Green Academy Training
HUD is pleased to announce the launch of a new training series. HUD’s Green Academy is an exciting pilot initiative that will offer green building training to HUD grantees and other affordable housing organizations. Trainings will take place in various locations across the country from October 2012 - February 2013. The first training in HUD's Green Academy series will be held in Boston, MA from October 1-5, 2012. NSP1, NSP2, and NSP3 Commitment and Drawdown Data Report
Cumulative commitments and drawdowns for NSP1, NSP2, and NSP3 grantees as of October 1, 2012 are available on the NSP Resource Exchange. This data is updated weekly. View the data here.

Correction to September 18, 2012 NSP Weekly Bulletin
The September 18, 2012 NSP Weekly Bulletin mistated the NSP3 50% expenditure deadline. NSP3 funds must be 50% expended by the second anniversary of the grant award, not the third anniversary.

This webinar is intended for NSP2 grantees and partners but is relevant and open to all NSP grantees and partners interested in NSP2 and program income. The webinar highlights options and good practices for effective use of program income, including using program income to manage and maintain programs after close-out.
