Make cultural arts in your community accessible to everyone! Donate to New Works today!

How New Works Shares DanceNew Works presents inspiring dance performances and manages and mentors individual artists and dance companies to build the Vancouver dance scene and make dance more accessible to the public. Quite simply, New Works shares dance.

Sharing Dance Through PresentationThrough our trademark series Dance Allsorts, All Over the Map and Pop UP Dances, we offer free and pay-what-you-can programming of exceptional quality that everyone can appreciate and enjoy!

That’s why New Works needs you in order to keep these series available to everyone in our community!

The Cost of Sharing DanceThe cost of offering high caliber, professional dance for free or pay-what-you-can is high. New Works does receive support from CMHC Granville Island, Vancouver Parks Board, and City of Vancouver for these presentations. However, New Works is still left with a bill of over $48,500 per year to cover the fees for venue rentals, the performing artists, hiring the behind the scenes staff, and promoting these series.

Since our performances are free or pay-what-you-can, New Works takes in only $5,000 per year at our “box office” from many generous audience members like you. That’s only 10% of the total cost of offering these accessible performances.

How You Can Share DanceNew Works is asking you to match the generosity of our audience by helping us raise $5,000. Your support makes sharing free and pay-what-you-can professional dance performance in our community possible, year after year.

By donating to New Works, you are allowing a family of four to experience the diversity of dance at a fraction of the cost. You are programming local dance companies so they can share their art with our community. You are employing the hard working staff and volunteers, who make the performances run so smoothly. You are sharing dance.

Share dance in your community.
