Then and Now-Holding History in Your Hand
The Society’s historical marker program, “Then and Now-Holding history in your Hand” is in full swing. We have researched and written stories about 12 of the 20 walking tour properties in the roll-out program. Three markers are installed, City Hotel, Bank of Douglas County, and the Museum.

Adventist Hospital Partnership
We are partnering with the Adventist Hospital to promote their CastleRockFreeCycle.com bike rental program as part of our bicycling program. The Adventist Hospital also invited the Society to curate an exhibit at the new hospital about historical medicine. We are assisting them in naming one of their medical office buildings after one of Castle Rock’s first physicians.

Window and Door Restoration
The Museum’s window and door restoration is underway. The restoration firm took the windows and doors in September and installation is expected in December. This project was funded through a grant and  is expected to cost about $36,000. This quarter was usually has the largest number of visitors to the museum with 658 this year.
