Event Recap: KSCC 2012
On Saturday, October 20, 2012, CSUF CSA hosted the 2012 Khmer Student Coalition Conference entitled “ Lotus Legacy: Revive and Flourish." The conference addressed the following topics relevant to the Cambodian community: culture, social issues, policy, and leadership. With over 150 students, alums, and professionals in attendance, the conference was a huge success! The theme of the resilient lotus flower was echoed throughout the conference, encouraging attendees to unlock the mysteries of th elotus legacy, learn what is hiddent beneath the murky water, and find out how its stem leads to the transformation of your fullest potential.

Followed by a Networking Social, the second day of the conference was a collaborative event with the Khmer Alumni Association (KAA). With a turn out of about 80, the networking social marked the launch and first event by KAA. The organization's mission is to "promote the empowerment, success, and sustained engagement of alumni from Khmer student organizations as well as professionals in the Cambodian American community, through alumni networking, involvement with student groups, and community support." Their next social is a Thanksgiving Potluck, scheduled for Saturday, November 17, 1-3pm.
