11th EBAN Winter University

Exits will be the main topic of the 11th EBAN Winter University to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on the 17th and 18th of January 2013

Turkey is now a hotbed of angel investing since the government announced, some weeks ago, a 75 % tax credit on all investments up to 1 Million Turkish Lira (a little more than 500K Euros) by high-wealth individuals. Super Angels and Venture Capitalists are now traveling more and more to Turkey. In little less than 8 years, Turkey has transformed itself into an entrepreneurial, innovative economy with many sectors experiencing double digit growth.

Due to the impossibility of the former local organizers of EBAN Winter University (WU) to proceed with the event in Paris, the EBAN Board decided to relocate this important event to Istanbul, Turkey where it will take place the next 17th and 18th of January 2013.

During the past two years, EBAN WU was organized in Belgium and France. The EBAN Board believes a refreshing change from Central Europe to a mystic European location, will be a plus for all participants. The hosting organization will be TBAA (Business Angels Association Turkey).

The main topic for this Winter University will be: Exits. Everybody understands that without exits perspectives, investors will not invest in early stage companies. WU will have several experienced speakers in this topic, who will share with participants, their solutions and recipes to make/prepare exits in this difficult financial environment.

Registration process will be open from the 5th of November 2012. There will be an early bird discount for registrations done in November (limited places), so, be ready!
