Obstacle 1: "I'm not perfect/my family's not perfect/I'm inadequate for the task God is calling me to."
Yesterday we looked at response # 1 to this objection: Our brokenness not only does not disqualify us from being used by God; it is actually a prerequisite for usefulness in God's Kingdom.
Today, as we go to worship all over the world, let's enjoy a second response to the accusations that come against us: Our worth and our righteousness come from Christ, not from anything we can do or produce. We have received what God promised in Jeremiah 33:15-16:
"In those days and at that time I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David's line... In that day Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this will be its name: ' The Lord is our Righteousness."
Our debts have been paid in full, so our worthiness is no longer an issue. We are free to spend our lives in reckless abandon to God's plans for us, which are all good.
All is well in the workshop in Nigeria -- Please continue to pray for protection for John and the team from illness in their families or any other thing that would keep them from meeting their goals. Still no sign of "Michael"!
Have a blessed day!
See you tomorrow,
Barb
