London Ontario Media Arts Association
Art collectives bring humans together to share, merge and experiment with sights, sounds, textures, and, at wined and cocktail-weenied art openings: tastes and smells. Honour your five senses with the London Ontario Media Arts Association. Our next meeting is Thursday, November 29, 2012, 7p.m. at the Forest City Gallery -- 258 Richmond St.

Ontario Arts Council Grant
The who, what, why, where, and how portions of LOMAA’s Ontario Arts Council Grant application are written! Our mandate is to provide media arts education (through workshops and programmes), affordable equipment access, and space where collaborative media arts magic can happen.

Workshops
Charlie Egleston, (filmmaker and educator), Sebastian Di Trolio (filmmaker and screening organizer), and Troy Ouelette (Audio Lodge) are currently writing proposals for intensive hands-on workshops in analog film production/processing and audio field recording/post-production/exhibition. If you have a great workshop idea or an interest in sharing your media arts expertise please let us know!

What can LOMAA do for you?
The budget portion of the Ontario Arts Council grant will be worked on at the upcoming meeting. LOMAA will be making media equipment available at subsidized rates and is enthusiastic to connect with project needs of the artistic and greater community. What are your equipment needs? Do you have any recommendations for speakers, workshops, programs or screenings? What does a successful media arts association look like to you?

Although we are charging ahead for the purposes of the grant application (deadline: December 3rd, 2012), LOMAA is in its ‘birthing stages’ and this meeting is an opportunity to support and impact the future of this newly created collective.

We are optimistic about the future of the London Ontario Media Arts Association, and hope you can influence its direction and encourage its development.

See you at the next meeting!

Sincerely,

London Ontario Media Arts Association
