Ark 3K – Art $3000 & under is based on a very successful annual exhibition ‘Ten Guineas & under’ started in the 60s at the Blaxland Gallery and last held over 20 years ago at David Jones Gallery where passionate as well as new art collectors can acquire artwork by both established and emerging artists within a reasonable budget. Art 3K reflects the same philosophy and all artwork for sale in this exhibition will be priced at no higher than $ 3000. This will be the third year that Art Atrium had held this exhibition and while it was held in March in previous years, it was decided to organize this exhibition prior to Christmas so that collectors can acquire Christmas presents for their loved ones as well as for themselves.
Art Atrium artists Brett Bailey & Keith Lane were selected as finalists in the Fisher's Ghost Art Award held at Campbelltown Arts Centre. Max Miller & Wang Xu were selected as finalists in Paddington Art Prize.
Art Atrium artist Laurens Tan will be the feature artist at this year's Art Asia at Miami to be held in December.
Garry Trinh's billboard photographs from walks in Western Sydney Parklands are being exhibited at Casula Powerhouse in the exhibition 'Within Walking Distance'.
Renowned journalist and writer Janet Hawley had a very successful launch of her new book 'Artists in Conversation' with the launch by Edmund Capon AM OBE.and attended by numerous artists including John Olsen AO OBE, John Firth Smith as well as Wendy Whiteley who were in conversation in the book.
